Magic and Biology

Magic is tied in with the very core elements of an angel. This magic is the very energy around us and is absorbed by the angel to do mythical things that are impossible by our standards. Their power itself is connected with the core of life and the universe itself and is not something to treat lightly.
Angels absorb the energy around them, and their whole body can do this for the most part. Despite this though most species do have magical organs that absorb and store magic in a more efficient way.
When compared to magical creatures like unicorns or dragons, the angel will be more powerful than either with their magical talents.
To sum it up bluntly basically, while a dragon can master 1 element, a unicorn can master 3, and an angel can master them all. Angels at their core are magical juggernauts, with said magic making them nearly immortal.
However, said magic can still destroy them from the inside out if it is abused or pushed beyond what their bodies can handle.

The angel's heart is a very big, 5 chamber heart that works much like a human heart. However, it is much stronger than a human heart and beats faster.
This 5th chamber helps the flow of blood and magic throughout the angel.
Their heart is surrounded by 4 lungs, which connect to air chambers in the angel that help them gain flight.
This makes them more sensitive to hazardous materials in the air, like smog and such, and to chest based illnesses. Most angels who die from sickness often die from lung illnesses.

There are special organs that absorb and store energy. There are 6 of these organs, 3 on each side ride under an angel’s wings. These organs basically absorb energy the fastest, are for short-term storage of it, and help keep the levels of magic in check.
If an angel uses too much magic too quickly, the absorption rate will increase, this strain on the body will make an angel very weak physically, which will make the rate become even higher, and eventually, the angel will explode from the inside out from magical overload. Most of the time, these organs will rip and in some cases explode. [If an angel doesn’t have these organs the chances of basically exploding from the inside out triples.]

Angel Blood is highly magical and sought after in certain circles of the magical world. Being a mixture of colors that never seem to blend it's easy to distinguish from other kinds of blood.

Angel bones also absorb magic and are for more long-term storage.
An important note is that angel bones are very shark-like, are made of cartilage, and is even honeycombed. When young these bones are very flexible, but as the angel ages they become more solid due to the effects of storing magic. The only bones that are more solid at the start are the ones in an angel’s skull.
An odd thing about angel bones is that if one is able to remove a bone from an angel they still absorb magic. Angel's bones are worth a lot of money, even more so than angel blood.
Angel's bones are hard to come by though since when angels die they shatter into glass and such. This also a side effect of using magic as they do, which also means they can get cracks from injuries and such.
